Conservation

Bristol Bay Sockeye

I’m proud to participate in one of the world’s last great sustainable salmon fisheries, in Bristol Bay, Alaska. Foggy Mountain’s sockeye salmon are caught using set gillnet gear, a small-scale and minimally harmful fishery that minimizes bycatch and ecosystem damage. To learn more about the Bristol Bay fishery check out some info at the link below, or reach out to me! I’d love to chat about my work and salmon conservation in general.

Oregon Salmon

I’m an enthusiastic supporter of and monthly donor to The Wild Salmon Center, which does great work rebuilding habitat and fighting for salmon conservation in my backyard here in Oregon! To learn more about some of their local salmon conservation initiatives, including coastal restoration, removal of unused dams, Tillamook rainforest preservation, and the Oregon Water Initiative, check them out below and consider making a donation!
